Non precious metal electrolytes

Electrolytes under the trade name MIRALLOY® for the deposition of bronze alloys form an important part of our product range as a nickel alternative. These alloys are Copper-Tin or Copper-Tin-Zinc electrolytes for rack as well as barrel plating applications. Additionally we have a good expertise for the plating of selected alloys.

MIRALLOY® Copper-Tin-(Zinc) elektrolytes
We distribute these electrolytes for the deposition of white and yellow coloured layers for rack and barrel plating. MIRALLOY® is primarily used for decorative applications as a nickel-free alternative, e. g. for the plating of zippers, buttons and fashion jewellery. The deposits can be easily soldered and are diamagnetic. These enables the usage for a number of technical applications, such as the coatings of guide bushes, hydraulic and radiator parts as well as the plating of high frequency and automotive parts.

TRIALLOY® Tin-Zinc-Cobalt alloys
The deposits are primarily being used for functional plating purposes as a corrosion resistant protection for steel basematerial. A futher protective coating (e. g. passivation) is not needed – but can be applied if desired. TRIALLOY® can be used for decorative applications, e. g. on top of a bright nickel deposit to obtain a specific colour. The process can be used for rack and barrel plating.

DIALLOY
® Tin-Zinc alloy
DIALLOY® is an alkaline-cyanide type of electrolyte for the rack and barrel plating of a Tin-Zinc alloy. The coatings can lacqured, chromated or passivated with a chromate-free process if the application of a post treatment is desired. The primary application of DIALLOY® is the corrosion protection of steel and iron alloys.

NIPHOS
® Nickel-Phosphorus alloy
The coatings do show a superior abrasion resistance together with an excellent corrosion resistance. The deposits are diamagnetic and can be welded. By applying a heat treatment, hardening of the deposits can be obtained. NIPHOS® processes allow the deposition of hard, abrasion resistant coatings and provide therefore an alternative for the deposition with an electroless nickel process. The alloy can also be used for the high speed plating at reel to reel equipment and is used as an intermediate layer for the plating of connectors.
