Dimensional stabile anodes & platinum coatings

We are manufacturing dimensional stabile anodes and platinum coatings at the customer’s request. Corrosion-resistant refractory metals such as Titanium, Niobium, Molybdenum and Tantalum are used as base material due to their very high resistance in corrosive mediums.

Our range of services includes the platinizing of refractory metals by using the high-temperature-electrolysis (HTE-process) and the coating of precious metal oxides by using a time and temperature-controlled conversion process.
The HTE-process was developed by Degussa in the seventies and optimized into a reliable production process in Schwaebisch Gmuend. From then on, anodes for precious metal electroplating have been predominantly manufactured under the trade name PLATINODE®.
Platinized molybdenum wires and ribbons are also manufactured by using the HTE-process in a continuous working-plant for the lighting industry. Through consistent optimization of the pretreatment and deposition process, incomparable platinum coatings are manufactured. Due to the exceptional quality features, our platinum coating is used as durable contact layer in the manufacturing process of printed circuit boards and integrated circuits.

Through the thermal conversion of halogenic precious metal compounds, electrocatalytic active electrode materials are manufactured for use in galvanic baths, chemical production processes or in wastewater treatment. The active layer consists out of a mixture of precious metal oxide and non-precious metal oxide. The coating is referred to as "mixed metal oxide" or MMOx. We support our customers in all topics regarding technical applications and suitable electrocatalytic active anode materials.
